Join YouTuber Amanda McKnight as she reacts to the new Spy x Family Code: White film, giving you her immediate reaction and thoughts right after coming out of the movie theatre on her first time watching. While VampX13 is normally a fan of sub over dub, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to see this film in theatres during it’s limited run. Spy x Family Code: White is inspired by the anime and manga of the same name but not actually based off of any stories written in the manga or from the anime series. Instead this is a non-canon story that is unique to the film alone, making a great introduction to Spy X Family and the Forgers. Directed by Takashi Katagiri with animation by Kyoji Asana. This film is everything you could want from a spy action comedy. Loid Forger, codenamed “Twilight,” a talented intelligence agent, is on his usual mission Operation Strix when he receives an order to change missions. The new man chosen to replace him is incompetent, causing Loid to worry about the mission’s outcome, were he to abandon it. Meanwhile, a cooking competition is being held at Eden Academy where the winner will be awarded a Stella Star. To prove he should continue the mission, and ultimately to protect world peace, Loid suggests to Anya that she make the “Meremere,” a traditional pastry from the Frigis region for the cooking competition which is a favorite of the principal, who is also the head judge of the competition. If they can secure the Stella, Loid may be able to fight to keep the mission. Thus, the Forgers decide to take a family trip to Frigis to get a taste of the traditional dessert. Meanwhile Yor has witnessed an exchange between Loid and a mysterious woman who is actually secret agent, Winter, resulting in some uneasiness about their temporary relationship during the impromptu family vacation. Will the future of Loid’s mission be secured? Will Anya successfully win the cooking competition? And will Yor’s marriage to Loid survive?
